eufyMake E1: 3D Texture UV Printer for Makers and Creatives
Some products improve an existing market. Others open up a completely new one. The eufyMake E1 clearly belongs to the latter.
Until recently, UV printing was firmly in the hands of industry: huge flatbed machines from Roland or Mimaki, five- to six-figure price tags, proprietary RIP software with a steep learning curve. And although this ensured professional results, they were simply out of reach for makers, creative studios and small businesses. Anyone who wanted to customise an object had to rely on external service providers, minimum order quantities, lead times and compromises on design.
The eufyMake E1 breaks this status quo. It is the world’s first personal 3D texture UV printer, built for the desktop, easy to use without prior experience, yet powerful enough to deliver professional results. Designed by Anker Innovations under the newly founded eufyMake label, the device was introduced on Kickstarter in 2024 and broke every previous crowdfunding record in the printer industry, raising over 46 million US dollars with almost 18,000 backers. Fast forward to 2026, and it is now available for purchase at 3DJake and ready for immediate delivery.
What sets the E1 apart from everything that came before it is that it does not simply print colour onto surfaces. It builds real, tactile structures up to 5 mm high, applied layer by layer like a 3D printer, but directly onto the object. Leather grain, stone textures, brushstrokes, embossed reliefs: visible, touchable, durable. In doing so, the eufyMake E1 turns the printer market on its head, but in the best possible way. It combines UV printing, 3D texture, and direct-to-object printing into one compact machine, enabling results that were previously unimaginable. This printer is designed for everyone—not just beginners or professionals—appealing to anyone who has stopped questioning what is possible.
The device combines three printing modes in one:
- Flatbed printing: direct printing on flat objects up to 330 × 420 mm (A3),
- Rotary printing: with the optional Rotary Attachment for cylinders, mugs, cups and bottles,
- Roll/DTF printing: continuous printing on film for transfers and stickers (maximum print length over 10 metres).

The technology behind the eufyMake E1
The E1 features four carefully coordinated technologies that together accomplish what no single device has been able to do before.
Amass3D™ is the core of the system and the reason why the E1 establishes a new category in printing technology. Unlike conventional UV printers, which apply ink flatly to a surface in a single pass, Amass3D™ takes a different approach. It applies the ink in defined layers, curing each layer immediately with UV light. This process builds a true three-dimensional relief structure, up to 5 mm in height, directly onto the object without the need for moulds, post-processing, or external tools. The result is not just an optical illusion; when you touch a surface printed with Amass3D™ texture, you can feel the brushstrokes, the leather grain, and the stone structure. It’s tangible because it’s real.
ColorMaestro™ ensures that the colour keeps pace with the texture. The ink system works with CMYK, a dedicated white ink and a gloss channel: five inks that work together in a single print run. With up to 1440 DPI, it achieves colour gradients and fine details at a level usually associated with professional photo printers. The white ink is more than just a good-to-have extra: it acts as a base layer on dark or transparent materials, enabling rich colours even on glass, metal or black acrylic. The gloss channel then handles the sealing process. A matte or glossy clearcoat finish is applied directly in the same pass, without taking the object out of the machine. UV stability and weather resistance are not just marketing claims, but a chemical property of UV inks: they cure under UV light to form a durable layer that neither fades nor flakes.
JetClean™ solves a problem that every UV printer owner is only too familiar with: clogged print heads. UV ink dries quickly; in fact, too quickly when the printer is not in use. The automatic JetClean™ system cleans the nozzles independently at defined intervals, without requiring manual intervention or manual print head flushing. This significantly extends the service life of the device’s most expensive individual component and makes the E1 suitable for everyday use, even if it is not used every day.
The fourth element is precision alignment with dual laser and integrated snapshot camera. Even before the first drop of ink is applied, the system scans the object on the print bed, detects its exact position and automatically aligns the design accordingly. That may sound obvious, but it is not. Anyone who has ever tried to align an object manually in a printer knows how much waste this can create. With the dual-laser system, the guesswork is completely removed. For multi-stage prints or correction passes in particular, this is a major production advantage.
What can the eufyMake E1 print on?
The short answer: almost anything that is solid and fits under the print head. The slightly longer answer is much more interesting.
More than 300 materials are officially compatible, and that is not just a marketing figure, but a direct result of the UV printing process. UV ink adheres to almost any non-flexible surface because it does not soak in like paper printing ink, but cures. The result does not simply sit on the surface; it bonds chemically with it.
Wood is one of the most rewarding materials for the E1. Solid wood, MDF, plywood, veneers: the natural structure of the material works with the print, not against it. A wooden sign with a printed leather embossing or stone texture looks handmade. Metals such as aluminium, stainless steel, brass and coated surfaces deliver especially sharp results because the smooth surface reproduces every detail at full resolution. Brushed aluminium business cards with printed logos, stainless steel signs, personalised tools: all possible, straight from the machine.
Glass and ceramic work brilliantly in flatbed mode for flat pieces such as tiles, coasters and decorative panels. For mugs, cups and glasses, the Rotary Attachment comes into play, rotating cylindrical objects during printing to allow even printing around the circumference. Acrylic is one of the most popular materials in the maker community because transparent acrylic with a white base layer opens up entirely new effects, such as illuminated signs, displays with depth or light panels. Leather and faux leather respond particularly impressively to Amass3D™ textures. A printed grain texture on smooth faux leather is visually and haptically almost indistinguishable from real grained leather.
Stone and slate, canvas and even building bricks have also been successfully printed in tests. For fabrics and textiles, the following applies: printing works with flexible white ink, but classic UV ink cures rigidly and is not suitable for materials that are stretched or moved heavily. For textile applications, UV DTF is the better route: print the design on film, laminate it and apply it as a transfer.
The maximum print area in flatbed mode is 330 x 420 mm (A3), while the maximum object height is 60 mm. For anything larger or irregularly shaped that cannot be printed directly, the DTF roll mode offers an elegant solution. The design is printed onto transfer film, laminated and then applied to the target surface, even on mirrors, doors, computer cases or curved surfaces that no flatbed printer could reach directly.

The eufyMake E1 is compatible with the following materials:
- wood (solid wood, MDF, plywood, veneer),
- metal (aluminium, stainless steel, brass, coated surfaces),
- glass (flat glass, decorative panels, window glass),
- ceramic (tiles, coasters, mugs with Rotary Attachment),
- acrylic (transparent, coloured, satin-finished),
- plastic,
- leather & faux leather,
- stone & slate,
- canvas,
- fabric & textiles (with flexible white ink or via UV DTF transfer),
- film (for stickers and UV DTF transfers),
- other solid surfaces up to 60 mm high.

What does the community say about the eufyMake E1?
Since its launch, the eufyMake E1 has received widespread attention, and the feedback has been notably consistent. Users who have tried the device are highly impressed. Hackster.io referred to it as the most exciting device they have ever tested, praising its excellent print quality and impressive durability on almost all materials. CGMagazine specifically noted the quick setup time, stating that it is ready to use in under 30 minutes—a strong point for a UV printing system. A reviewer from Tom's Hardware extensively tested the E1 by producing side panels for RC cars, which endured three events and showed only minimal chipping despite direct impacts.
The software has been consistently described as surprisingly accessible. It allows users to align designs using an integrated camera and generate textures from flat images through height mapping. The app also offers a guided initial setup, making the software easy to use. Alhtough it is designed for accessibility, it still provides enough depth for experienced users.
One point the community continues to discuss critically is the ongoing cost of ink. UV ink is proprietary, and textures with a large layer height naturally use more of it. This is not a hidden weakness, but an honest trade-off that everyone should be aware of before buying. Anyone using the E1 for occasional personalisation projects will hardly notice it. Anyone producing daily and in larger quantities should factor in ink consumption.
Another topic openly discussed in the community is cleaning, because the E1 clearly requires an active cleaning routine: automatic flash cleaning every 10 minutes in idle mode, heavier cycles every few hours, deep cleans every 72 hours and a shutdown process that takes around 10 minutes because the printer flushes the print head, nozzles and ink tubes. If this is skipped, UV ink can harden and cause blockages. One possible solution: after a longer period of downtime, run a manual cleaning cycle and a test print before printing on more expensive materials, simply to be on the safe side.
This is not a design flaw, but a physical property of UV ink. It reacts to light and cures, which is precisely what makes it so durable on the object. However, it also means that the print head has to be kept clear regularly. Industrial UV printers work on the same principle, just with significantly greater maintenance requirements and trained specialists behind them. The E1 automates most of this, but anyone buying the device should know that it is not a “switch it on and go” printer if it has been standing unused for a while. Once understood, the routine quickly becomes second nature.
Conclusion: Who is the eufyMake E1 best suited for?
The E1 is not a cheap entry-level printer, and it does not need to be. It is a serious tool that fills a gap no one had really defined before: professional UV printing with real 3D texture, compact, accessible and affordable compared with industrial alternatives.
Three groups benefit most from it. Firstly, small businesses and print-on-demand providers that previously relied on service providers: the E1 gives them back production control, speed and individuality, in-house and without minimum quantities. Secondly, creative makers who want to add a tactile dimension to their 3D-printed parts, cosplay props or self-designed products that no other desktop tool can deliver. And thirdly, designers and studios that need prototypes with a true surface feel: not renders, not paper samples, but physical objects that feel like the final product.
For anyone unsure which bundle is the right place to start, the Starter Set covers the full basic scope and is the most sensible starting point for most applications. The Deluxe Set is worthwhile as soon as cylindrical printing or DTF transfers are to become part of the workflow.

What we created with the eufyMake E1 at 3DJake
We wanted to explore the capabilities of the E1 for ourselves. So, we connected the device, opened the software, and got started. We experimented with various materials, including mugs, wooden panels, metal surfaces, acrylic parts, coasters, and signs. We also tried smooth surfaces with stone textures. Simple mugs suddenly looked like they were handmade ceramic. The logos we printed on metal were as sharp as laser engravings, but in colour.
What surprised us most was how quickly we learned to use the device. We simply placed the first object, aligned the design, printed it, and then picked it up to find that it looked and felt exactly as intended -long-lasting and without any post-processing.
We are truly impressed and feel that we have only scratched the surface of what the eufyMake E1 can do.
