This HSS drill set is specifically designed for threaded inserts and is perfect for use with a wide range of materials including plastic, PLA, PETG, ABS, steel, aluminium, copper, brass, nickel and zinc.

The EU-made hardened steel drills are CNC machined, have extremely sharp cutting edges, high durability and accuracy. The carefully crafted drills can be used with just a little force, which not only makes the work easier but also perfects the drilling results.

The contents of the delivery include 5 drills with a diameter between 3.2 and 8 mm. They are suitable for threaded insert sizes M2, M2.5, M3, M4, M5, M6 as well as 1/4".

Tip: In 3D printing, the drills can be advantageous when holes for threaded inserts contract due to the effect of heat. The holes can be touched up with the drills.

Application example step-by-step:

1. The hole is designed with a diameter of 8 mm and printed at high temperature.
2. The heat causes the holes to contract a little, which prevents the threaded insert from fitting into the hole.
3. When the component cools down, a smaller diameter is produced.
4. By using the special drills, the threaded insert can be inserted into the hole.
