Description

The Prusa Prusament PVB (polyvinyl butyral) has been specially developed for design-focused and decorative projects. Its semi-transparent appearance and the option to smooth surfaces effortlessly with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) make it possible to achieve a refined, glass-like finish. This makes it particularly well suited to items such as vases, lampshades, jewellery and other decorative pieces.

Beyond its visual appeal, Prusament PVB also offers practical benefits. The material exhibits low warping, allowing even larger models to be printed accurately and with reliable stability. In terms of print settings, it behaves similarly to PLA, while providing slightly enhanced mechanical performance - comparable to CPE or PETG.
