Description
Protopasta's HTPLA is a tough PLA material that prints similarly easily to standard PLA but is much more powerful and cost-effective. With a practical heat resistance of more than 140°C after heat treatment, parts printed with it retain their strength and shape, allowing them to withstand much higher temperatures.
Metallic HTPLA
Give your creations a magical metallic touch that catches the light like liquid metal and attracts everyone's attention. Glittering particles sparkle like diamonds and create a dynamic play of light and shadow on your 3D works of art. Ideal for printing ornaments, toys and other art objects.
The metallic filament can be heat-treated for higher temperature resistance. Due to the resulting crystalline structure, heat-treated HTPLA parts retain their shape almost up to their melting point. It is recommended to “bake” the parts in an oven until a change from translucent to opaque with reduced gloss is observed.
Tip: The small glitter particles in this filament do not contain any real metals and do not cause nozzle blockages or anything similar.
