Creality Automatic Filament Feeder

The Creality Automatic Filament Feeder AF-01 is an intelligent backup feeder that automatically switches your 3D print to a second filament spool as soon as the first one is running low. Sudden print failures caused by empty spools become a thing of the past, while filament leftovers get a second life by being seamlessly integrated into the current print job.

Auto-refill – your printer simply keeps going

No more constantly checking whether there is enough filament left on the spool. As soon as the Automatic Feeder detects that the current spool is almost empty, it automatically switches to the backup spool. The print continues seamlessly, without manual intervention, interruption-related errors or lost print time.

Make better use of leftover filament

The AF-01 puts an end to half-empty spools gathering dust on the shelf. Filament remnants are automatically connected and used up before switching to the full backup spool. This saves material, reduces filament waste and helps you get the most out of every spool.

Smart sensing for intelligent control

Inside, a well-designed sensor system precisely monitors the filament flow:

• 7 optical sensors: continuously monitor the position and movement of the filament,
• 3 status indicators: show the operating status and warnings at a glance at all times.

This keeps you informed about the current status of your print setup at every moment.

High-torque dual-gear extruder for stable feeding

The AF-01 uses a powerful dual-gear extruder with hardened, wear-resistant gears and a reduction ratio of 6.25:1. The result is strong, consistent torque that can reliably handle frequent loading and unloading over the long term.

One-touch unload for easy filament changes

Changing filament is quick and easy: simply press and hold the extruder button, and the AF-01 automatically retracts the filament.

Creative multi-colour printing

The AF-01 also makes multi-colour prints possible on classic FDM printers. By changing the filament manually during printing, you can combine different colours in one model and give your creativity more freedom.

Note: Unlike a CFS multi-material system, the Automatic Filament Feeder requires the filament to be cut manually for colour changes.

Wide compatibility with FDM printers

The Creality Feeder can be installed quickly and easily on most common FDM printers. For models with special PTFE tube configurations, Creality provides suitable adapters, allowing the feeder to be neatly integrated in a wide range of setups.

Installation in just 3 steps

The AF-01 is designed to be especially user-friendly and can be installed in three simple steps:

1. Insert the filament connector: insert the filament connector into the two extruder adapters.
2. Connect the PTFE tube: open the top and connect the PTFE tube to the output port.
3. Connect the power supply: plug in the power adapter, and you’re ready to go.

No tools, no complicated wiring, no firmware adjustments.
