The Einstar from Shining 3D is a handy, ergonomically designed 3D scanner offers excellent value for money, making it an affordable choice for almost everyone. It is comfortable and easy to use, and boasts a range of impressive features which make digitising objects in your surroundings a breeze. It produces fast and detailed scans of outstanding quality at an accuracy of up to 0.1 mm and a speed of 14 fps! It features an integrated RGB colour camera, ensuring real-life colours are retained in the scan.
This easy-to-use 3D scanner is incredibly easy to set up. It requires only a USB cable, which serves both for data transfer and power ("plug and play"). It features a user-friendly interface with a streamlined workflow for scanning and post-processing on your PC. Furthermore, it incorporates detail-oriented enhancement technology. This technology, equipped with a data quality indicator, simplifies scanner control and enhances image quality.
The scanner is suitable for various applications, including design, digital archiving, education, culture and art, VR, and AR. Einstar also supports multiple data format outputs compatible with 3D printers and 3D design software. Thanks to three infrared VCSEL projectors, two stereo depth cameras, and an RGB camera, Einstar even allows for clean and stable 3D scanning outdoors! Because no projector light is used during the scanning process, Einstar is also safe for the human eye! The scanner is also equipped with a "hair mode" that can easily capture hair texture.

We use this scanner with a Lenovo P50 Xeon 64gb Nvidia QuadroM2000
we have it now for about 11 month and we was not able to use it for one single project because of failure and low quality
The quality of the scan is really low, we tried to use it for different parts and we was not able to get any result that we can use
Also the face scan is really bad in quality the same as in iphone face scan
Also to get any average quality scan it is necessary to use the markers that affect the scan itself.
We decided to get this scanner because looking the reviews it seems it was possible to use it without markers, but it is just impossible
I tried also to contact the support I got very slow answer and I never been able to get a connection to check our problems
for 1000 Eur I expected a much better product and better support
Also the software is super slow, I dont know if anyone have the same problem but just to open it and create a new project it freeze and takes almost 10/15 min to create the empty project
I dont suggest at all this product.
