YouTube Episode: The Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 - A Carbon Copy?

What happens when you take the Elegoo Centauri Carbon and add a carbon-fibre frame, an extra 30°C of heat, and a healthy dose of multi-colour magic? Is this just a predictable carbon copy, remix, or is it actually the upgrade budget-conscious makers have been waiting for?

In our latest video, “The Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 - A Carbon Copy?”, we’re taking a closer look at the Centauri Carbon 2. With a 350°C hotend (up from 320°C), you now have significantly more room for high-temperature filaments. Then there’s the CANVAS Multi-Colour Unit, featuring a 4-spool swapper and RFID technology - say goodbye to spool chaos and hello to seamless colour changes at the touch of a button. Adaptive bed levelling, an AI camera, and both clog and tangle detection? Yes, yes and yes. And to ensure your printer doesn’t sound like a helicopter taking off, they’ve thrown in vibration-dampening feet and a quieter cooling system.

The real highlight for material nerds, however, is the automatic chamber ventilation, which effortlessly switches between a breezy "PLA comfort mode" and an "ABS/ASA sauna." It certainly sounds like a versatile all-rounder - but is it enough to truly stand out from the competition? Or has the CC2 arrived a little too late to the party?
