BIQU PopStatus Status Indicator, Snapmaker U1

The BIQU PopStatus is an RGB LED light bar that reads the current printer status via Wi-Fi and translates it into a clear light signal. Instead of regularly checking the screen or app, a quick glance at the light bar is enough to see whether the printer is currently printing, finished or has encountered a problem.

Connection and communication via Wi-Fi

The PopStatus connects to the same network as the printer via Wi-Fi and reads its status in real time. Each status has a predefined light effect, which can also be customised if required:

• Idle: calm white breathing effect,
• Preparing: orange flowing pulse,
• Printing/Paused: LEDs light up in proportion to print progress,
• Print Complete: solid green, changing to a soft white breathing effect after 30 seconds,
• Error: red flashing.

As communication takes place via Wi-Fi, the PopStatus can be positioned independently of the printer, whether in the same room or in another room such as an office or bedroom, provided both devices are connected to the same network. In combination with the PopCap, available separately, visibility can be increased even further.

Control via web interface

The PopStatus is configured via a browser-based web interface, with no additional software installation required. Light effect, colour, brightness and speed can be individually adjusted for each printer status. A mobile app is currently in development.

Light effects for your surroundings

In addition to pure status display, the PopStatus can also be used as ambient lighting. Seven basic effects are available: Steady On, Breathing, Flashing, Flowing, Marquee, Colour Cycle and Rainbow.

Rhythm Light Sync

Via an integrated microphone, the PopStatus responds to ambient sounds in real time. At lower volume levels, the light bar glows in cooler shades, while higher volume levels produce warmer colours with correspondingly more intense pulsing.

Robust construction

The housing is made from 6061 aluminium alloy, making it robust, dimensionally stable and heat-resistant. Interchangeable end caps for left- or right-side cable routing are included. The light direction can also be reversed to match, ensuring the effect looks consistent regardless of installation direction.
